What if you could meet your body where it is today?
We often take our body — and all it does for us — for granted. Until it stops doing what we need it to do and life starts needing adjustments. No matter at what stage in our lives, living with health challenges can change so much about our daily life. It can bring uncertainty, frustration, grief, or the slow realisation that life might not be the way it was 'before'.
In our work together, there's no pressure to be positive, to push yourself, or to "get back" to what you used to be able to do. Let's make room for what's here now, explore ways to live alongside it, and find the pockets of acceptance that make each day a little lighter to carry.

MY APPROACH
Living with illness or health conditions can be physically, mentally, and spiritually complex. It's not just the symptoms —- it's the loss of control, shifts in identity, and the challenge of staying connected to meaning and self in the face of change. Reaching out for support is a meaningful step in caring for your emotional wellbeing — your own or that of someone you love — especially when so much feels outside your control. Counselling offers space not only to acknowledge what you're carrying, but to honour resilience, questions, and to explore what supports you best in living with these changes. At Headstrong, I offer a grounded, compassionate space to explore how illness or health conditions are shaping your life and those closest to you —not just physically, but emotionally, relationally, and personally. I have lived with chronic health conditions since early childhood, one of which is visible on my body. This experience informs the way I hold space for clients navigating health-related changes. Whether recently diagnosed or living with a long-term condition, we'll work together in whatever way you need — individually, as a couple, or as a family — to reconnect with steadiness, meaning, and emotional grounding — even when uncertainty remains.

How does your Explore Your Fit/New Client policy get applied?
I offer a unique policy for prospective individual and couples' counselling clients: if you decide not to continue after your first session, there is no charge for that session. However, if you choose to rebook, the first session will be billed as part of your ongoing therapy. Committing to continue is not binding. You are not required to commit to a set number of sessions. You have the freedom to decide how best to move forward at any given point. This policy is designed to give you the opportunity to explore whether my approach feels right for you without financial pressure. Exclusions: 1. This offer applies to individual and couples counselling only. Family sessions are not included in this offer due to the additional preparation and planning. 2. Because I work with a small number of client bookings each week - no more than six - availability for new individual and couples' clients under this introductory policy is restricted during times when my caseload is at capacity.
