What
counselling
with me
offers you
Counselling helps when it offers a relationship— a way to listen to what's been pushed down or held onto for too long. It's not about solving or perfecting. It's about coming home to yourself, to gently remember who you are beneath all you've carried.
I offer a relationship grounded in steadiness, presence, and deep respect. Whether we're working one-on-one in individual counselling, as a couple, or with your family system, I'll meet you with presence and curiousity, drawing on a range of counselling approaches to provide the support you need.
You'll build resilience, let go of limiting beliefs, and make intentional choices that bring clarity, confidence, and meaningful change.

A glimpse of
what to expect
My approach to counselling is integrative, drawing mostly from humanistic and somatic foundations. I work relationally and collaboratively—whether I'm supporting you as an individual, a couple or a family. I hold space for what's happening within and around you—your felt experience, your relationships, your story, and the broader systems that shape your life. Some clients begin to notice progress within the first few sessions — feeling more grounded, more aware, or simply relieved to be heard. Lasting change, especially when working with long-held patterns, often takes time. While everyone's pace is different, meaningful shifts tend to occur somewhere between 8 to 20 sessions. Progress and change aren't the same — but both matter. Together, we'll move at your pace, using the approaches that make sense for you, with care, curiosity, and connection at the heart of the work.
I offer counselling for
individuals, couples and families.
Whether you're seeking support for yourself, your relationship, or your family—I'm here for you. Together we explore the patterns, parts, and protective strategies that shape how you relate—to yourself and those you are about.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How will talking with a counsellor or psychotherapist help me?
Any form of talk therapy — whether counselling, psychotherapy or life coaching with a trained professional — can be deeply supportive in many ways. It offers a safe and structured space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without fear of judgment. A therapeutic environment provides consistent, empathetic support and can bring meaningful relief from emotional distress.
How long will it take to see change?
That depends on what you're hoping to work through. Many clients begin to notice progress — feeling heard, clearer, or more grounded — even within the first few sessions. Lasting change, especially when working with long-held patterns or complex experiences, often takes more time. While every person's pace is different, meaningful shifts tend to occur somewhere between 8 to 20 sessions. Progress and change are not the same, and therapy is not linear— but when you stay with the work, change does come.
What can I talk about?
Anything that affects your well-being is welcome in our sessions. You might want to explore relationships that leave you doubting yourself or others, find relief from persistent or overwhelming thoughts, or develop new ways to cope with stress. Sometimes, therapy is about processing past events that still hold emotional weight. Other times, it's a proactive check-in — like seeing your GP — not because something is wrong, but to support ongoing growth and well-being. The direction we take is entirely up to you. It's important to know that all therapists have areas of strength, and some approaches are more suited to particular issues. That's why finding someone who aligns with your needs and goals matters. As an integrated and relational therapist, I believe in helping you find someone you “click” with. If it’s not me, I’ll do my best to recommend someone who might be a better fit.
How many sessions would I need?
Several factors influence the number of sessions you may need — such as how long the issue has been present, its impact on your well-being, and the strength and availability of your current support systems. I usually recommend beginning with six sessions, typically spaced over six weeks. This gives us time to build our therapeutic relationship, explore your immediate concerns and begin identifying patterns, goals, and areas for support. However, while I may offer guidance, the number of sessions we have will depend on what feels right for you. Our work together is a collaborative process, centred on your comfort, readiness, and ongoing needs.
How effective is integrative counselling or psychotherapy?
Integrative talk therapy is consistently shown to be effective and offers many advantages over single-method approaches. One of its defining strengths is its flexibility — it blends elements from different therapeutic modalities to suit your unique needs and circumstances. This personalised approach helps ensure our work together is deeply attuned to what matters most to you.
What does successful counselling look like?
Research shows that talk therapy — whether counselling or psychotherapy — is effective for a wide range of concerns, both in the short term and over time. This is supported by client feedback as well as clinical evidence. Interestingly, no single approach has been proven consistently superior to others. What matters most isn't the method, but the quality of the relationship between client and therapist. A strong, respectful therapeutic relationship is one of the most reliable predictors of positive outcomes. That said, some approaches are more effective for specific issues. Therapy is most helpful when it's tailored to your unique needs, and when you feel safe, heard, and involved in the process. Active participation — such as reflecting between sessions or trying suggested practices — can also enhance your progress. Together, we'll make shared decisions about your goals and the direction of therapy, ensuring the work is aligned with what matters most to you.
Counselling & Psychotherapy: Explaining the difference
Counselling and psychotherapy can often look similar — both involve talking through thoughts, feelings, and challenges in a safe, supportive space. The difference usually lies in depth and duration. Counselling tends to be shorter-term and more focused on immediate concerns, like navigating a break-up or managing stress. Counselling offers practical strategies and emotional support to help you cope in the present. Psychotherapy may begin the same place, but often explores underlying patterns, past experiences, and deeper emotional theme. It supports longer-term growth and insight, helping you understand how past and present are connected. We'll discuss together which approach feels right for you and adjust as your needs evolve.
Where are you located and How do I find you?
I work from my home office in Casuarina on the Tweed Coast. You'll find the exact address in your booking email confirmation. Additionally, there is an option to use therapy rooms located in Tweed Heads South, although please note that this will incur an additional charge. We can discuss this further when we first connect, ensuring that the arrangement aligns with your preferences and needs.
How does your Explore Your Fit/New Client policy get applied?
I offer a unique policy for prospective individual and couples' counselling clients: if you decide not to continue after your first session, there is no charge for that session. However, if you choose to rebook, the first session will be billed as part of your ongoing therapy. Committing to continue is not binding. You are not required to commit to a set number of sessions. You have the freedom to decide how best to move forward at any given point. This policy is designed to give you the opportunity to explore whether my approach feels right for you without financial pressure. Exclusions: 1. This offer applies to individual and couples counselling only. Family sessions are not included in this offer due to the additional preparation and planning. 2. Because I work with a small number of client bookings each week - no more than six - availability for new individual and couples' clients under this introductory policy is restricted during times when my caseload is at capacity.
